Aectual is looking for a Hands-on Head of Sales

Aectual is the go-to platform for made-to-measure architectural and interior products made in a 100% circular manner connected to cutting-edge technology and advanced manufacturing. We collaborate with famous and upcoming architects and designers and offer interior and architectural products such as floors, acoustic wall panels, furniture, and facades. We’re looking for a hands-on Commercial Powerhouse to shape and realize our 2022 - 2024 commercial growth plan by doing multiple new product introductions in our global markets and growing our commercial success exponentially through new partnerships. You will be part of the management team and play a crucial role in the company.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Implement and strengthen the commercial plan & strategies in close interaction with the founding team.
  • Expanding the B2B market and building up the B2C market (with retailers) for Aectual within our existing and new product market combinations.
  • Grow existing accounts and partnerships
  • Promote company products and services, by giving presentations and workshops at clients and partners
  • Close deals
  • Manage, train, and grow our sales team, which currently consist of 5 FTE (2 business developers B2B, 1 back-office sales operations, 2 founders) to achieve our sales & (personal) growth targets
  • Organize and maintain sales operations; meet and exceed targets, monitoring and optimize CRM, report to CFO and CEO
  • Strategically build and grow markets by defining and bringing in new customers & partnerships
  • Grow e-commerce strategy and revenue
  • Managing and expanding existing (International) sales partners and reps`
  • Product-market research/feeling with the market, providing input for (new) products in the collection
  • Work in close collaboration with our marketing team to grow our brand and name globally

Required skills & character:

  • You have 3+ years’ experience in scaling a successful commercial/ revenue operations organisation
  • You have experience in building a sales market, sales experience is a must
  • You love working in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • You are a strategic and innovative thinker and operational doer
  • You are an entrepreneurial and accountable self-starter
  • Skilled at closing deals
  • Network and experience in or affinity with the (international) home furnishings/interior market is a big plus
  • You are a team player and have strong communication and collaboration skills; but can also function well independently
  • You are a strong leader who can focus on the essential, prioritize ruthlessly, and thrive in simplifying the ambiguous into actionable plans
  • You are clear in your communication and understand that it is important for the company to work in a structured way
  • You love spending your time with metrics and analyses, you call yourself an expert with spreadsheets and dashboards and know which data to gather to drive decisions
  • You are familiar with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and very quick coming to grips with new tools
  • You have at least HBO work and thinking level
  • You speak and write excellent English in addition to Dutch; German is an advantage
