The Pixel Brick system brings a versatile, fun, and sustainable way to create unique signature partition screens, pixel by pixel.
Quick, custom-made, and circular
The Pixel Brick is a transparent hanging screen system that can be used as partition screens, window coverings & wall decoration. You can hang them next to windows to provide shadow and privacy or alongside a route to guide people to their destination. The patterns of the system can be entirely customized via a quick online process, as every pixel can be open or closed based on your own design. Colors can be customized as well, as the system comes in 11 standard colors and all NCS colors upon request. The screen also scores high on sustainability, as it is produced on-demand without any waste from plant-based materials and is entirely circular.
Easy design process
Curious to design your Pixel Brick screen? There are two ways to go about it:
For single configurable screens, go to the Pixel Brick configurator. Click ‘pre-sets’ for inspiration and choose a design to start customizing. When you’re happy with your design, simply press order, and the screen will come your way.
Do you want something more bespoke? Go the Pixel Brick System, and request a quote via the link. You are then asked to share your design as a simple bitmap or vector file, and within maximum two working days the design will be converted into a screen proposal and quote and sent back to you. These are the steps to follow:
- Create a vector file or bitmap of your graphic design
- Draw an outer line with measurements indicating the total screen area.
- Position your graphic design and make the areas you want to be closed black.
- We will generate the pattern and divide the requested surface in equal individual screens - if you wish, you can also specify your preferred separate screen widths between 500 and 1300 mm.
Keep in mind that: - Each cell can be open or closed based on your graphic design
- Individual screen size min 500x500mm, max 2300x1300 mm, your design can continue over multiple screens as an uninterrupted pattern
- Screen thickness 16 mm
When you are happy with the design, you can approve the quote, and the screens are produced and shipped. The screens have attached steel cables and grippers and an easy instruction manual for a local installer.
Graphic design inspiration
Need some help to start your design? Strong geometric shapes like circles, rectangles, and triangles always work well. Dare to be bold because the pixels are subtle, and very detailed graphics won’t be visible. Inverted images also work well- so extract a shape from a closed surface. Logos are always a great idea - use them in their most stripped-down version for optimal visibility. Also, arrows, diagonals, and wavy lines can create spatial direction and guidance. Want to create specific areas of privacy? Play with strong contrasts in relation to the objects in your space. For a screen behind a sofa, create closed cells for more privacy at eye height and open cells higher up to let enough light come through.
