Aectual Wins Dutch Innovation Award 🎉 …and is named Runner-Up for “Most Innovative SME of the Netherlands”
We’re proud to announce that Aectual has won a BID Innovation Award at the 2025 Dutch Innovation Awards during the annual BID Nationaal Innovatiegala. The award celebrates companies leading the way in positive, future-proof innovation -and we’re thrilled to be among them.

A Powerful Moment On Stage
During the ceremony, Aectual Co-founders Martine de Wit and Hedwig Heinsman took the stage to receive the BID Innovation Award, presented by property developer Saman Mohammadi of RE:BORN.
Saman emphasized the urgency of circular design in a construction sector responsible for 40% of global CO₂ emissions, and expressed his belief in 3D printing as a key solution- highlighting Aectual’s pioneering role in this shift.
Runner-Up “Most Innovative SME”
In addition to winning the BID Award, Aectual was named runner-up for “Meest innovatieve MKB-bedrijf” (Most Innovative SME).
We also warmly congratulate category winner Ecoplant Europe on securing the top position.

Why the Jury Chose Aectual
The Dutch Innovation Awards jury praised Aectual as a global frontrunner in 3D-printed interior and architectural products, citing our ability to combine:
- Robotic, large-scale 3D printing
- Circular and recyclable material systems
- Customizable, parametric design tools
- Closed-loop production, where old products are returned and reprinted into new ones
This combination creates high-quality, tailor-made building products while radically eliminating waste- a powerful example of how design, technology, and sustainability can reinforce each other.

Looking Ahead
These recognitions motivate us to continue scaling circular materials, expanding our 3D-printed product portfolio, and partnering with innovators who share our vision for a beautiful, circular built environment.
A big thank-you to our team, partners, and community- together we’re shaping the future of sustainable architecture!
