Aectual, pioneers in circular 3D-printed interiors, has been selected for the Secrid Talent Podium at Dutch Design Week 2024. This year’s edition, held from October 19 to 27 at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven, highlights innovative designers who are transforming industries by focusing on sustainable design.
Aectual, co-founded by Hedwig Heinsman, Hans Vermeulen, and Martine de Wit, is revolutionizing the interior design sector by creating fully circular, 3D-printed products from recycled waste and plant-based materials. Their cutting-edge approach not only transforms waste into stunning, custom-made designs but also ensures that once used, the items are returned, shredded, and recycled into new creations.

Supported by the Secrid Impact Fund, which donates 1% of Secrid's revenue to support sustainable design initiatives, Aectual will receive a €7,777 grant and expert coaching to continue their groundbreaking work. Their participation in the Secrid Talent Podium underscores their commitment to creating "better, not more" and showcases the potential for design to drive positive, sustainable change.
At the Secrid Talent Podium during Dutch Design Week 2024, Aectual will showcase a range of products and materials, including those made from ocean waste, wood waste, and recycled beverage cartons. Aectual's team members will be present at the expo to share insights into their innovative processes and vision for a circular future.
