Aectual Wins the LVMH Innovation Award for Sustainability and GreenTech!
During a spectacular award show at Vivatech Paris, Aectual was announced as the Green category winner, selected from over 1,545 startups and accompanied live on stage by LVMH founder Bernard Arnault.
With each successive edition, the LVMH Innovation Award has undeniably established itself as a leading accolade for international startups looking to play a key role in the luxury sector. Aectual was selected from over 1,545 startups from 89 countries, grouped in six categories, and nominated in the category “Sustainability & Greentech”. During a spectacular LVMH award event at Vivatech Paris, Europe’s largest tech fair, Aectual was announced as the category winner.
Hans Vermeulen, Aectual co-founder and CEO, joined Bernard Arnault and the 5 other winners on stage. He received the award from Helene Valade, Environmental Development Director of LVMH. In his victory speech Hans thanked all Aectual teammembers and LVMH, and is ‘looking forward to create circular impact together with all the LVMH Maisons’.
Aectual was lauded for its innovative circular approach, bringing LVMH new digital tools to create unique and circular retail interiors from recycled waste. The aim of the LVMH Innovation Award is to connect innovative solutions to all Maisons of the group.
Aectual already successfully collaborates with Tiffany & Co. on 3D printed storefront facades from recycled ocean waste, designed in collaboration with MVRDV, such as the store at Changi Airport Singapore and the recently opened Tiffany & Co. store in Cancun, Mexico.
Aectual co-founders Hans and Hedwig were present during the entire Vivatech fair at the LVMH pavilion, where Aectual had its own booth alongside renowned LVMH brands such as Louis Vuitton, DIOR, and Tiffany and Co.
The award trophy, designed by Maison DIOR, will get a special place at Aectual’s new HQ in Amsterdam, that will open later this year.
