Aectuals Origami Diamond system combines adaptive three-dimensional patterns with the ability to create smooth round surfaces. It was because of this ‘curvy’ quality, that architecture firm Atelier Bruckner selected the system for their interior design for the Museum of the Future in Dubai. It enabled them to create an entirely custom appearance and multifaceted curved walls.


Anyone who sees the Museum of the future for the first time is surely never to forget. Seen from afar, the iconic building designed by Killa Design and engineered by Buro Happold is an architectural and engineering marvel. And inside, this surprising effect continues.




On the fifth floor, a large, rounded space tells the tale of space habitation. The area is largely clad in three-dimensional Origami Diamond panels. Their patterns, that combine a diamond-shaped grid with the ability to curve, create a mesmerizing effect.


The Origami Diamond system consists of semi-open 3D printed patterns that appear as if folded. Because of these smart folds, larger and smaller pattern openings can occur, and the panels can also be bent alongside curved surfaces. This curvy attribute, combined with the characteristic geometric diamond shape, makes for the distinctive quality of this system.

The panels can be mounted almost seamlessly with integrated mounting hooks, and the pattern continues uninterrupted over all the panels in a unified manner. This feature allowed Atelier Bruckner to scale the panels exactly to the exhibition space and create an entirely bespoke pattern. They opted for the color black from our 

, but any color is available upon request.


The Origami Diamond system is part of Aectuals circular service.
